The 16th edition of the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space will be held on 8-17 June 2027 at the Prague Exhibition Centre.

Following the announcement by the Czech organisers of the dates and theme of the Prague Quadrennial (PQ) 2027, the Theatre Institute received a letter of intent regarding the production of Polish exhibitions at this prestigious event. As in previous years, the Theatre Institute will produce the main PQ 2027 exhibitions, namely the Countries and Regions Exhibition and the Student Exhibition. The curatorial theme of the 16th edition of the PQ is “Absences and Silences as Spaces of Potential for New Scenographic Futures”. Particular emphasis will be placed on the presence of young creators and students specialising in theatre space and set design. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Prague Quadrennial, the Institute began developing proposals last year to organise an exhibition showcasing the work of Polish scenography and costume design students at PQ 2027. This will be done in collaboration with scenography and costume design educators in Poland.
