THE LIBRARY AND READING ROOM OF THE THEATER INSTITUTE

The IT library specialises in collecting Polish and foreign-language literature related to theatre and, to a lesser extent, related arts, such as dance, film, music, and circus.

The collection of the Theater Institute Library can be used free of charge only on-site.

Readers have twelve computerised stations and a wi-fi network at their disposal.

In the Reading Room, there is free access to reference collections; the remaining clusters are in the warehouse and can be ordered based on an online catalogue or from the librarian on duty; waiting time is approx. 5 minutes. The Barbara Krasnodębska Theatre Documentation Studio collections can also be accessed in the Reading Room.

There are about 6,000 free-access volumes in clearly marked sections in the Reading Room. Each book has a reference number for the Reading Room. Using the computer catalogue, the user can easily reach the searched item.
