On 15–19 June, a number of interesting meetings were held as part of the study visit to Germany organised as part of the Focus on Producers programme.
On 15 June, the Polish Institute in Berlin hosted a meeting which was attended by Marta Mądry Anna Kauczor, who are producers participating in the study visit; Katarzyna Sitko, the Institute’s director; Dorota Filipiak, who is responsible for dance and theatre projects; Jana Grünewald, a representative of the project partner Dachverband Tanz Deutschland; and Karolina Dziełak-Żakowska, who represented the Theatre Institute. The following days, (16–17 June) Marta Mądry, Anna Kauczor and Paweł Łyskawa participated in a networking meeting in Hamburg organised by the produktionsbande – network of performing arts producers & InfoPlus/Dachverband Tanz Deutschland This event brought together producers, managers, agents and distributors to share experiences and discuss the latest developments in the field of independent performance arts. The event also included a tour of the stages and residency spaces of the Kampnagel Theatre in Hamburg.
On 18–19 June, the study visit participants attended a forum held as part of the Tanztriennale. The Tanztriennale is a cyclical event guided by the clear vision of making dance visible, strengthening its position, and establishing it as a social practice given its aesthetic, stylistic, and cultural diversity.
