The Theatre Institute has joined this network, which serves as the political voice of the European cultural sector.
Culture Action Europe (CAE) is the largest European network of cultural organisations, artists, activists, researchers, and policymakers. As the only cross-sectoral network, CAE unites members and strategic partners from all artistic disciplines. It is the political voice of the cultural sector in Europe and the first point of contact for obtaining reliable information and initiating debate on cultural and arts policies.
CAE maintains a constant dialogue and exchange of knowledge between the European cultural sector and policymakers. CAE advocates transformative cultural policies that recognise culture as a sector in its own right and support its role as a catalyst for the development of other sectors.
“Culture Action Europe is driven by its belief in culture as a fundamental building block for the common future of a Europe open to the world, for the sustainability of our planet and for plural, open and caring societies.”

The Theatre Institute, which joined the network in 2025, will bring the perspective of the theatre and performing arts. Thanks to its CAE membership, the Theatre Institute will gain knowledge of European cultural and arts strategies and have a tangible impact on the development of cultural policies at European and local levels. In cooperation with other organisations forming the so-called ‘Polish hub’, it will participate in regional activities for artists and cultural workers, as well as activities aimed at raising awareness of the role of culture in contemporary society, working towards increasing access to the arts, among other things.
