On 7 December, a debate on the role of theatrical producers in the past thirty years of the theatrical ecosystem took place at Bunkier Sztuki in Kraków. The event was organised by the Theatre Institute and the Divine Comedy International Theatre Festival. The discussion, featuring Karolina Ochab, Izabella Oleś and Ulrike Josephsson, was moderated by Anna Galas-Kosil. Participants discussed why contemporary theatre and the performing arts require producers and the competencies this new profession entails. This was preceded by a presentation of the Theatre Institute’s report, Producers as Central Figures in the Ecosystem of Theatre and the Performing Arts, published in May 2025. The publication was released in two language versions: Polish and English.
